Good Being [November] subscription box review

Looking to detoxify your beauty and lifestyle items but don’t know where to start? The Good Being monthly subscription box is an awesome solution!

How it works

Good Beingis a monthly all natural, nontoxic subscription box that is curated based on your individual likes, wants and needs. Their products range from beauty to skin care to everyday lifestyle items depending on the plan you choose. The very first step after subscribing to their box is to create your user profile by filling out a super detailed questionnaire. This ensures that all items being sent to you monthly will always fit your specific needs and preferences. They even have an option to opt for all plant-based products! yay!

*note some items do contain honey and or beeswax so this is not suitable for those who are seeking a completely vegan box.

Plans & Pricing

The box is offered by two categories: Beauty (face, body, hair care etc) or Lifestyle (beauty, wellness, supplements etc). Once you choose your box theme you can then choose your box size: Standard or Mini. The mini box is $9.95 and includes 2 items per month with an average value of $15-20 where the standard is $24.95 a month and includes 4-5 items with an average value of $40-50. So basically any box you choose is giving you some serious bang for your buck. You can choose to pay month by month (and cancel at anytime) or prepay for a 6 month subscription that saves you $17.76 because I know you’re gonna love it.

One really cool feature about the standard box option is that you actually get to choose 2 of your own items before hand! But if you find yourself in a “just surprise me” kinda mood you can totally do that too.

November Box Review

Now for the good stuff! I chose to go with the Standard Beauty box plan which landed me 5 products, two of which I personally chose during the ‘member pick window’. Also included in the box are 5 product cards that breakdown the use, ingredients and retail values of each item.

The first product I chose was a deluxe creme blush sample from the popular green beauty brand Au Naturale in the shade “Grape Fruit”. Au Nat is well-known for their super clean ingredients and are 100% cruelty free. Don’t let the word ‘sample’ fool you though, this thing has a decent amount of product packed in there!

The blush comes in a small frosted jar and is a really pretty peachy color. It also has a beautiful shimmer to it allowing it to work great as a sun-kissed highlighter or eye shadow even. It’s highly pigmented with just one swipe and is really easy to blend. It’s also unscented for any of you who are sensitive to smells.

The second product I chose was a travel size bottle of the YarokFeed Your Ends leave in conditioner spray. It’s 100% vegan, free of parabens & sulfates and also acts as a heat protector which is what really drew me to it. The ingredients include things like jojoba oil, grape seed and rosemary that helps to add shine and volume when styling. Though it doesn’t contain it, it smells like a yummy bottle of lemon grass to me and I can NOT wait to use this on my head!

Next we have a full size jar of K Voss‘ Nourish Magik Shimmer Body Lotion. This product alone retails $28 so that should tell you what a great investment this box is! Not gonna lie, I’m kinda obsessed with how this lotion smells. It’s a mix between sandalwood and vanilla and leaves my skin feeling soo moisturized due to the grape seed oil and avocado butter in it. Like the name states it’s all got a serious shimmer to it and its all created naturally with mica minerals!

The fourth product we have is a full size nude conditioning lip balm by MyChelle. This thing is PACKED with crazy nourishing ingredients like shea butter, beeswax, coconut oil and more. It’s a really pretty natural color with a soft glossy shine that’s perfect for a quick everyday no makeup look. If you’re like me and love to wear liquid matte lipsticks this is a great way to rest your lips and re-up them with hydrating nutrients.

And last but not least we have an eco toothbrush from Woo Bamboo. A really cool feature about this brush is the wavy grip handle that is lightly coated with Chinese wax to keep your brush from harboring bacteria. My favorite thing about this brush though is the fact that the bamboo used to make it was organically grown!

With just the lotion and lip tint you are already at a value of $40 – that’s literally about half of what you pay PLUS 3 more items! You seriously have nothing to lose and everything to gain with this box 😉

Whether you’re just dabbling into non toxic products or just love discovering new brands, this box is honestly a great choice. I’m really impressed with all the items from the November Box and also got a sneak peek into December! Trust me, its WORTH getting.
