Easy homemade vegan white chocolate

I’ve been on the hunt for some good dairy free white chocolate for some time now so what do you do when you’re unsuccessful? Make your own of course!

This recipe is incredibly easy to make and takes seriously no time at all to prepare. Granted it’s not the most healthiest ever but you can always add in some nutritious toppings to make up for it 😉

The final product resulted in a super yummy bar perfect for satisfying that vegan white chocolate need in your life. Here’s what you’ll need.

Ingredients

1 bag of organic cacao butter. Here’s the brand I used:

2817DBF7-49F6-44C9-AE31-4D699545740D

1/2 tsp organic vanilla extract

1/2 cup + 1 tsp organic powdered sugar

Directions

1. Melt down your bag of cacao butter by using (or creating) a double boiler. If you’re like me and don’t have one, this is basically a fancy way of saying boil a pot of water and put another metal bowl on top of the pot so that the cacao isn’t directly touching the heat. It’s basically melting the butter from the hot steam produced by the water under the bowl.

2. Once your cacao butter is all melted, remove it from on top of the pot and place on the stove. Drop in your vanilla extract and sugar and whisk together well.

3. In a small even sized greased pan (you want to make sure it’s a small pan or else the chocolate will come out very thin if you use a big pan one or really thick if you use a bowl like I did) pour in the mixture. I topped mine with dehydrated strawberries but it’s totally up to you if you want to get creative with yours!

4. Set in the freezer for at least 2 hours. You’ll know it’s almost ready as the color begins to whiten. Once it’s all set, pop it out of the pan and cut it into small pieces or break apart with your hand for a raw natural look like I did.

Hope you guys enjoyed this recipe and as always let me know if you give these a try!

Til next time,
