Good being [february] subscription box review

Another month, another Good Being Box!

Ok. So I know I brag about this box EVERY month but seriously this February one was soooooooo good! It was perfectly curated with chocolate and perfume and skin care and I’m pretty much in love. If this is your first time checking out my blog (hey there!), you can read more about this awesome monthly box [with price breakdowns and plan options] by clicking here → Good Being [November] subscription box review

Now let’s get into the Feb. goodies! ♥

Of course I’m going to talk chocolate first, because duh.

This RE CHOC isn’t just any ole dark chocolate though, it’s chocolate infused with polyphenols – Resveratrol from aronia and epicatechins from cocoa. If you aren’t familiar, Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant that promotes longevity and wellness and is typically found in the skin of grapes and blueberries. One piece of this chocolate is equivalent to the natural concentrated Resveratrol found in two glasses of red wine! Not the same as getting you wasted, just the benefits hahha. Not only does it taste delicious, but its vegan and good for you too?! YES PLEASE.

Next up we have an all natural roll on perfume by a brand called Curandera Remedies.

This spicy musk is made with Majmua oil and smells of aromatic spices and herbs. I typically do not care for musks but this one smells so lovely! It says it’s intended to be used during meditation and mantras to aid the mind in relaxation and stimulation but of course can be worn just as a normal perfume too. You literally only need the tiniest of amounts as it is pretty strong but fades into a softer scent throughout the day. This bottle alone is worth $40 so you already got way more for your money with this box with just one item! The formula is also vegan and cruelty free.

Third up is a beautiful creme eye shadow by the popular green beauty brand Au Naturale in the shade “coffee”. The product is described as a “deluxe sample” which comes with a large amount in it so I can’t imagine what the full size is!

The color is a beautiful copper brown with a shimmery gold undertone that is creamy and smooth. It glides on like a dream and maintains a good amount of pigment with only one swipe. You can use your finger to apply this directly onto the lid and I can’t wait to play around with this bad boy! It also states it can be used as a brow filler or eye liner and is also vegan and cruelty free.

The fourth item is a body scrub by Pangea Organics. It’s primary ingredients are Brazilian brown sugar, cocoa butter, sunflower oil, lavender and citrus.

It smells like beautiful rich lavender and left my skin feeling super soft after one use in the shower. Using this scrub helps to improve circulation, remove dead skin cells and deeply hydrate the skin. The suggested application is circular massaging motions and the bottle does say it’s not intended for use on the face fyi. I’m really enjoying this product! [vegan]

The next product in my box was a mineral primer by Z Skin Cosmetics. It is a colorless serum that creates a lasting base for powders / foundations throughout the day. I actually own a few Z Skin products already and love them for their simple clean ingredients.

I tested this primer out with a powder foundation and it really made a difference! It left my face feeling super moisturized and wasn’t thick or heavy feeling under my makeup. It has a light lavender smell that I enjoy and I can definitely see myself using this regularly even when I’m not wearing makeup as it is said to enhance skin texture and minimize pores. The only issue I had with the bottle was the pump. The tube is not long enough to actually reach the product so I have to hold the bottle upside down to be able to pump any out. It’s possible I may have just received a faulty bottle though.

The last and final product in my box was a sample pack from Akar Skin. The sample set included a toner, facial oil, eye serum and ruby tint lip butter.

All the products are made with organic, wild harvested ingredients and are all vegan except for the lip butter (contains beeswax). So far I have only used the toner and lip butter and love them both! The toner smells and feels wonderful and sort of reminds me of the Indie Lee toner I recently shared on Instagram. The lip tint barely shows any color once applied but smells very nice and really hydrates my lips. I plan to use the eye serum and facial oil tonight and will update here once I do 🙂
