Good Being [December] subscription box review

The new year is approaching quickly which is the perfect opportunity to clean up your beauty/lifestyle routines! Subscription boxes are such a great way to do this as they literally show up right to your door step and eliminate the hassle of searching for nontoxic products on your own. While most boxes cater to only one genre (beauty, supplements, lifestyle etc.) the Good Being box offers an option for all three making it easily one of my faves.

This month’s box of course was nothing short of awesome! I actually ended up missing my pick window this month (you get the opportunity to choose two of your own goodies every month!) and it ended up being kind of cool to just get surprised instead. The box came with 6 items total with a value of over $70 which is triple what you pay!

Let’s get into the goods.

The first product I reached for was definitely due to the fact that it read “chocolate” and “supplement” on the same package hahaha. Esthechoc is a brand I’d not heard of before and this is precisely what I love about this box. The chocolate is infused with plant-based algae called astaxanthin that is clinically proven to increase micro circulation, skin function and cellular turnover! YOU GUYS. My dream has come true – its dairy free chocolate (with only 2 grams of sugar) that is GOOD for your skin. The box brought 3 individually wrapped pieces that are suggested to be eaten first thing in the morning or at night. I of course gave one a try and it tastes just like a normal dark chocolate! YESSSSSSSSSS to this sweet little treat. *vegan

The next product I had to open up was this Elate Cosmetics universal creme for lips and cheeks in the shade “celestial”. Elate is a popular green beauty brand that offers a wide range of nontoxic makeup products so I was super excited to see this in my box. The formula is very creamy and smooth with a super convenient application stick.

The color is a pretty light nude-y pink with a hint of shimmer that would make for a great natural lip or subtle glow/highlight. I think this would be an absolutely perfect staple for those who enjoy a minimalist look as it is multi purpose and subtle yet chic. *vegan

The third product I received was from another new brand to me called Jivi. A full-sized bottle of their sun protectant moisturizer was included in this month’s box in the scent ‘lavender’ and I was immediately intrigued by the packaging!

The pump doesn’t have your average nozzle but instead a small hole that I absolutely love as it allows you to control the product amount to avoid waste/over use. The cream is a light green color due to its algae and aloe extracts and smells so lovely. It is the perfect moisturizing formula that isn’t too thick or too thin for my skin and I’m excited to start using it. It’s made with tons of nourishing organic ingredients that include: jojoba oil, olive oil, shea butter, vitamin E and rosemary extract. It’s also super affordable priced at only $12 for a full size bottle! *vegan

A small sample of their exfoliating face wash in ‘lemongrass’ was also included in the box. Just like the moisturizer it smells great!

Next up we have another super convenient and portable item by a company called Co-Pur. This portable balm is designed to provide moisture on the go fitting easily into your purse, bag or even your pocket! I received mine in the “lavender lime” scent that is completely achieved with only essential oils. *contains beeswax

After trying the balm, I will say the formula is a little too thin for my hands so they didn’t retain much moisture but it was PERFECT for my cuticles! I also do really enjoy the smell and portable design as well 🙂

And last but not least we have a restorative eye cream by Sahajan. This powerful organic Ayurvedic blend helps to fight free radicals and aid with dark circles/signs of aging.  It’s rich in antioxidants and neem oil designed to bring back brighter and more youthful looking eyes! Ummmm, as a mother of a three year old, I DEFINITELY am stoked about this one. The smell is super refreshing and sort of reminds me of conventional creams I used to use minus the strong over powering fragrance. It glides on super smooth and leaves my under eyes feeling incredibly hydrated and soft. Excited to see how this goes after repeated use! *contains honey

Once again I was really impressed with this box! Good Being is such a fantastic subscription that saves you a ton of money and continually introduces awesome new brands. What better way to start the new year than to invest in yourself ♥
